I think it’s working.
The thing about not being employed by May that’s so rough is, May is full of birthdays and special days. My dad, my husband, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law’s girlfriend were all born in May, and then there’s Mother’s day and my parents’ anni.
I have a really big problem.
I love buying presents. It’s a serious issue at Christmas, I have to reign myself in from spending all my money on presents for people. And it’s a problem in May, cause I want to buy a lot of presents for everyone’s birthday and mother’s day and my parents and I really can’t. :(
Though I am making up an Orioles goodie bag for my dad, I’m excited about that. That’s the great thing about living in Maryland - this is my dad’s home. He was born and raised in Maryland. I mean I grew up mostly in North Carolina and Georgia, but the Orioles (and then the Ravens when they came about) was my team. That’s who I was raised on, who I was loyal to. So I was basically raised a Marylander cause my dad has way more love for Maryland than my mom has for Georgia (where she’s from). XD
Wal-Mart had these cute O’s tote bags and one looks like a bag Dad has that’s old and dirty and not an O’s bag, so I got that, and I’m going to get him an O’s tumbler cup with a lid, an O’s card deck, this little Cal Ripken book they’re selling at the Hallmark store, and some other goodies. I can’t wait to see his face when he gets it!
