lurjilu asked: What is your icon?

It’s Sonja from Skinwalkers (2006). Technically it’s the official poster for the R rated cut, but it’s easy to tell that it’s Natassia Malthe/Sonja. :)

my blog was too fabulous and Halloween-ified for them, I guess.

OMG that would make me run around screaming from happinessssss

I JUST WANT KEVIN GREVIOUX IN MORE THINGS AND SINCE HE AND LEN ARE FRIENDS AND HAVE WORKED TOGETHER (AND KIND OF BROKE OUT TOGETHER EVEN IF LEN SEEMS TO BE DOING BETTER) IT’S NOT OUT OF THE REALM OF POSSIBILITY.

GET ON IT, WISEMAN.

pshh, anyone who says they don’t judge a book by its cover is lying tbh. and yeah, it’s just a really surprisingly excellent book, especially for a ya fantasy love story (which i adore, but there are way too many awful ones getting published lbr)

haha, I agree - covers are what grab your attention after all (I bought Anna Dressed In Blood mostly because of the cover lol).

Oh gosh, there’s so much being published in YA genre and there are some real gems but it seems like the masses are drivel and/or problematic as all get out.

yay! :) there’s two books out already (and the third coming in april) and idk i just feel like it’s something you would enjoy, with angels and monsters and all kinds of really interesting mythology

oooohhh, it sounds awesome - I looked at the summary and I’m definitely intrigued (also the cover art I saw is super pretty and call me a shallow ‘judging a book by its cover’ but I love genre novels with pretty covers xD).

I miss our chats too. :( I might be babysitting tonight or tomorrow night, so maybe I can use skype on a different computer. If not, I’ll fanmail you later on tonight. *hugss*

*hugs* That would be awesome! But if not, fanmail will do. :D I think we’re going to finally get the house fully officially decorated today, woot! The yard’s ready, and the afternoon is nice! Hehehe. :D

hmm doesn’t sound too bad (glad you think it’s more enjoyable than Charmed, cause I wasn’t a big fan of Charmed either), I’ll probably catch up on it this weekend. thanks! that review was helpful. :)

Welcome! I think it’s kind of goofy but fun. :D

I forgot to watch it! Was is good??

It was basically entertaining fluff? I don’t find it to be amazing - the pacing is wayyyy off it”s super rushed and then it just has scenes where the characters are supposed to be doing things but wind up standing and talking more than anything else, and the effects are obviously cheesy, but I mean, it’s not horrible or cringe-inducing.

I think the fact that the four women are actually decent actresses helps a LOT, they make it entertaining and fun. The male actors are a little weak though, especially the villain guy but I don’t think he’s going to be in any episodes after the first two. So far Dash (I think the actor’s name is Eric Winter/Winters?) is the strongest of the male actors? At least it seemed that way in the first two episodes.

It definitely makes me think of Charmed though, right down to the regular person of color in the cast being a cop.  And their house looks so much like the Charmed house. But I’m enjoying it more than Charmed (I was never a big fan of that show).

It could use more diversity, but overall, it’s fluff and entertaining and doesn’t take itself super seriously.

not like they’re special eyes

otoh this might be a good thing - because the change to the dash actually seems to be straining my eyes more? so I probably won’t be on as often which is probably good lmao
